New Platforms for Building Virtual 3D Environments: Replacement Platforms for Mozilla Hubs

Are you interested in creating and publishing 3D virtual environments on the Web? Join the upcoming workshop to learn foundational techniques and resources for producing WebXR (eXtended Reality) content. This workshop will explore two new alternatives: Mud Verse and 8XR to Mozilla’s WebXR platform, Mozilla Hubs, and builder, Spoke which are now sunsetted.
Mud Verse, supported by the MUD Foundation, allows for Spoke file imports and operates similarly to Mozilla Hubs. 8XR, an HTML5 native game engine, offers enhanced interactivity for published environments. Participants will learn to find 3D resources, import and arrange visual assets, integrate multimedia, publish virtual environments, and navigate XR spaces interactively.
No prior technical experience is necessary, and all levels are welcome.
