UCLA Alumni Affairs, the UCLA Department of Economics, and the Academies for Social Entrepreneurship invite you to the UCLA Social Enterprise Academy Venture Showcase. Three student teams representing community organizations will pitch business ventures to a panel of industry experts, angel investors, and prominent members of the UCLA community for the chance to win $30,000 in cash awards toward their ventures. Audience members will also have the chance to select the recipient of the Audience Favorite Award of $5,000.

Arts of Life Inc. advances the creative arts community by providing artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities a collective space to expand their practice and strengthen their leadership.

Court Appointed Special Advocates of Orange County provides a powerful voice and a meaningful connection for children who have experienced abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Channel Islands Maritime Museum preserves and shares the wonders of maritime heritage, highlights the complex interrelationships with the ecology of the ocean and showcases people’s creative expressions of everything related to the sea.

Climb Your Everest provides educational programs that empower marginalized women and young girls worldwide through collaborative learning of leadership skills.

Gameheads envisions a world where low income youth and youth of color are equipped to thrive and succeed in any field they choose, including the tech and video game industries.

Grow Cycling Foundation works to promote education, access and opportunities that increase diversity and inclusion in cycling.

Homeless not Toothless provides free and quality dental care to the underserved and disadvantaged.

Miracle Flights provides free commercial flights to children in need of life-saving medical care not found in their local communities.

Sostento designs and deploys tools and resources that allow frontline healthcare workers to save more lives.

Zakat Foundation of America provides humanitarian aid to people of various faiths, creeds, nationalities and ethnicities.
