UCLAxFilmFest: Industry Panel and Networking Reception

As part of the UCLAxFilmFest, UCLA Alumni is partnering with UCLA Extension for an industry panel and alumni networking reception. Alumni will have the opportunity to hear from industry leaders as they discuss financing and producing your first feature in the current industry market. Mix and mingle with Bruins while taking in magnificent views of Downtown Los Angeles.

 

Industry Panelists

Kelly Kiernan is the Sr. Vice President of Production & Production Technology at NBC Universal. A seasoned producer and executive, Ms. Kiernan has worked with directors, producers, and showrunners including Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Tony Scott, Nick Antosca, Robin Vieth, and Don Mancini. Her film & TV credits include Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Man on Fire, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and the Steven Spielberg produced doc A Price for Peace.

Jeanette B. Milio is a media financier and producer of over 45 television and theatrical projects with a production volume of more than $250M to date. Ms. Milio's content is successfully distributed by streamers, studios and networks worldwide including Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, HBO, Showtime, Discovery, TLC, Disney, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., and others.

Lucretia Stinnette is an award-winning director, screenwriter and producer for short films, documentaries, and music videos. Her award-winning short films, Redondo, Quyen, and Currency, take a nuanced look at the way class, economics and racial identity shape the interior lives of women and people of color. Ms. Stinnette is currently packaging her first feature film.

Jennie Lew Tugend is a producer with more than three decades of expertise in the Hollywood motion picture business, including film and TV development, production financing, marketing and distribution. Her producing credits include Free Willy, Lethal Weapon, and HBO's Tales from the Crypt. She is currently developing the feature film adaption of the best-selling novel Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.

Myles Yaksich is an award-winning writer, director, and producer. His films have screened at over 50 festivals, winning more than 35 awards. Albatross, his feature directorial debut, won several best film and best director awards. Currently, Mr. Yaksich is devleoping several projects, including two feature films and a limited series.
