Digital Event

Presented by UCLA Career Center, Graduate Career Services

Open to graduate and professional students.

In this new workshop designed for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars currently on the academic job market, Drea Letamendi, PhD (Interim Director of the RISE Center, Associate Director of Mental Health Training, Intervention and Response) will share concrete, applicable and healthy habits for students interested in managing anxiety and conquering stress related to navigating the unprecedented academic job market. She’ll offer tips on how to remain resilient, build balance, and establish a healthy self-care regimen and she’ll talk about how to maintain purpose, even if you don’t get an interview for your dream job. In the second part of the workshop, she’ll be joined by Erin Brown, PhD, the Interim Assistant Director for UCLA’s Graduate Career Services, in a moderated Question and Answer session to further discuss how to develop good mental health habits and effectively navigate the career search process.
