As part of his Breath(e) project, Grounded, Ron Finley hosts a series of workshops in his temporary garden at the Hammer Museum, led by local artists. Each workshop can accommodate up to 20 participants, with all materials provided by the instructors. Availability is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis, with a sign-up sheet available in the museum lobby starting one hour before the program.
Work with artist and educator Leigh Adams to learn to identify appropriate materials, substrates, and adhesives in this mosaic workshop. After trying a variety of tools and methods, participants will make mosaic hearts for their personal gardens using various "pique assiette" materials, glass, beads, and embellishments.
