Call for Volunteers: Narcan Tote Bag Assembly
Sat 9/7/2024 • 9AM - Fri 9/13/2024 • 5PM PDT
CAPS Large Conference Room, 1st Floor
UCLA Narcan Distribution Project is seeking help from students, faculty and staff to assemble wellness kits for incoming Bruins as a part of the campus-wide Narcan Distribution Project.
Narcan is an opioid overdose reversal medication and fentanyl test strips are used to determine if a drug is laced with fentanyl. Overdose deaths are preventable and the aim of this project is to make sure we provide life-saving tools to our students.
To scale up our efforts for this upcoming academic year, The Ashe Center/Health Education and Resource Team (HEART) is working with CAPS/RISE, CARE, and Res Life to deliver Narcan and fentanyl test strips via 10,000 tote bags for each of the around 8,000 rooms that are part of campus housing and to around 2,000 students who live off campus during fall quarter.
Please get involved with this important campus initiative! Below you will find additional information on how you and others in the Bruin community can volunteer with this project.
