UDAN Interest Meeting

Wed 6/1 • 6PM PDT

Please join the UCLA Alumni Diversity Programs & Initiatives as well as the UCLA Center for Accessible Education to help create the UCLA Disabled Alumni Network (UDAN).

We are looking for alumni interested in working together to become the inaugural board to help launch this network. The Center for Accessible Education’s (CAE) mission is to create an accessible, inclusive, and supportive learning environment and through a collaborative effort with faculty, staff, and students, facilitate academic accommodations, disability advocacy, and serve as an educational resource for the campus community. In addition to facilitating inclusion and access in the educational environment, a primary goal of CAE staff is to create opportunities for students with disabilities to build a sense of community, feel empowered in their disability identity, and feel a sense of belonging and that they are valued at UCLA.

At UCLA Alumni, we hope to further this mission by creating inclusive spaces and providing both networking and educational opportunities to our alumni who were part of CAE as UCLA students, or who identify with the disabled community, or with having a disability. We will be holding a special interest meeting at a future date for any alumni interested in this opportunity. If you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please rsvp below. We look forward to seeing you there!
