General Data Protection Regulation Workshop
Tue 11/7/2023 • 11AM - 12:30PM PST
UC San Diego is hosting a public workshop on the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a privacy law that applies to entities that handle personal data of individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA). The scope of the GDPR is larger and differs from that of comparable US privacy laws, such as FERPA and HIPAA. Because the GDPR impacts many UC campus activities such as research, recruiting, and fundraising, this workshop comes highly recommended for anyone who handles personal data of individuals within EEA. Register for the GDPR workshop and learn about other UCSD privacy education training.
