Infectious Disease Interest Group (IDIG) at UCLA

Student Organizations extend medical education beyond the classroom by providing all UCLA medical students with the opportunity to explore careers in medicine, participate in national medical organizations, stimulate interest in medical issues, and develop leadership and medical advocacy skills. The Infectious Diseases Interest Group (IDIG) at UCLA aims to introduce medical students to the field of infectious diseases (ID). The goal of the group is to increase students’ awareness and to provide avenues for professional development and exploration in the field. Additionally, the organization aims to identify any health disparities within the field and help bridge those gaps with education, community service, and advocacy.
