Undoubtedly, MMA has experienced an unprecedented increase in popularity worldwide due to the emergence of stars such as Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Israel Adesanya, Amanda Nunes, and more. Organizations such as the UFC have implemented rules that have made this sport safer. Now is the perfect time to introduce the world of MMA to the UCLA student body. Bruin Mixed Martial Arts and Fight Choreography (hereinafter referred to as Bruin MMA) is a proposed interdisciplinary recreational club. The specific purposes and objectives which the Organization shall be organized to pursue include: Uniting students who have a deep passion for mixed martial arts, Increasing our collective understanding and appreciation of various martial arts (such as Judo, Jujitsu, Sambo and Muay Thai) and their cultural backgrounds, Advocating for the countless benefits of martial arts for self-defense, agility, coordination and awareness, Providing members the opportunity to learn fight choreography for martial arts and action films Conducting in-depth analysis on martial arts techniques by writing reports. This is a club that mainly teaches striking and grappling techniques as well as educates students on the background of various martial arts.
