Association of Graduate Counselors and Advisors

Mission: The Association of Graduate Counselors and Advisors (AGCA) provides network and support for campus-wide departmental counselors and advisors to share, exchange, and solve common problems relating to graduate education at UCLA. Vision: • To create a culture of peer support and share resources that will help SAOs to be better equipped to fulfill their roles. • To foster growth and career advancement. • To create a network of staff that feel supported so that they can support students to the best of their abilities. How we do this: Organize trainings, professional development workshops, and programming that provide support for SAOs and equip them with knowledge, awareness, and practical skills to best support graduate students.
