Cinnamon Kills First is a word warrior from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana. With a Rez education from home and two Dartmouth degrees, she is a cross-cultural communicator who helps bridge the gap between Indian Country and the rest of the world. Cinnamon is committed to facing hard truths in order to bring about change.
Cinnamon studied fiction and received her MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She is an author, documentary filmmaker, and traditional beadworker who is currently co-creating an Indigenouscentric anti-racist, somatic-literacy, and meditation-based healing program. She currently lives in Chinook ancestral territory (Portland, OR) where she owns and operates Northside Advocacy LLC to support her work as an artist, speaker, and
advocate.
