Effective Altruism at UCLA

Effective Altruism is a social movement and life ethic about making the greatest positive impact on the world, using rigorous statistical evidence, science, transparency, and reflective decision-making. EA at UCLA seeks to help students maximize their impact in this way through our Arete Fellowship, which guides fellows through an integrative curriculum to prepare them for a successful career with a positive impact on the world and connects them with a network of accomplished peers. In addition, we regularly hold presentations/discussions on EA topics and activities like the effective careers workshop. Students of all levels and majors are welcome to join! For more information on how to get involved, please see our website and Facebook page.
