Pilipino Council of the Mabuhay Collective (PCMC)
Institutionalized in 2009, the Pilipino Council of the Mabuhay Collective (hereafter referred to as "PCMC") is the principal Pilipino students association council that oversees, represents, serves, and unites the UCLA Pilipinx and Pilipinx-American community. In serving as an administrative and governing body to undergraduate and graduate Pilipinx students, PCMC Leadership comprising the Cabinet and Senate brings together the 15 Pilipinx-based constituent organizations. The PCMC motto is "Magkasama Bilang Isa, Mga Tao." Its translation is "Together As One, The People." The five pillars of PCMC are Academia, Culture, Politics, Profession, and Society. The Cabinet Branch of the Mabuhay Collective consists of the Executive Office and Board of Directors totaling to 16 Administrators. The Senate Branch of the Mabuhay Collective consists one Senator and Associate Senator per constituent organization. PCMC is responsible for planning its six annual community-wide programs called Projects: Pilipino Welcome Reception, Pilipinx American History Month Celebration, Mabuhay Winter Wellness, Mabuhay Benefit Festival, Mabuhay Formal, and Pilipino Farewell Reception. The 15 Constituents are as follows: Anakbayan at UCLA, Kabalikat Kore, Kappa Psi Epsilon, Pilipino Recruitment and Enrichment Program, Pilipino Transfer Student Partnership, Pilipinos for Community Health, Pilipinos in Engineering and Science, Pilipinx Living Learning Community, Pilipinx Pre-Law Pipeline, Samahang Modern, Samahang Pilipino, Samahang Pilipino Advancing Community Empowerment, Samahang Pilipino Cultural Night, Samahang Pilipino Education and Retention, and Tinig Choral. PCMC strives to develop and unite the Pilipinx student population. We are committed to supporting and uplifting the voices, events, and people of the Pilipinx and Pilipinx-American community at UCLA.
