Designing Health

Designing Health strives to utilize creativity, problem-solving, and determination to change the world we live in. Noticing the impact of summer California heat upon homeless populations, we commit to developing heat reflectors that can be installed on the surface of tents or be handheld to prevent overheating inside homeless camp dwellings and during walking trips with no shelter. By distributing such products to homeless populations across California, we alleviate the risks of skin cancer, dehydration, and even heat exhaustion, which can lead to heat stroke. It is through initiatives like this that we design products, distribute them, and alleviate the risk of developing or even preventing the emergence of disorders and diseases in our communities. Through the utilization of problem-solving abilities, creativity, and commitment to make an impact, we hope to aid the health of as many individuals as we possibly can.
