The Uplift Initiative at UCLA

The Uplift Initiative is a student-run 501c3 nonprofit that provides peer-to-peer mentorship services to middle and high school girls from homeless and low-income backgrounds in the greater Los Angeles Area. Our vision is to provide a network of peer-led educational and professional support to students as they take their next steps towards higher education. We pair college mentors with our mentees based on similar interests and passions. Together, you and your mentee will work together on skill-building exercises and experiences, providing them with a toolkit to aid them in their higher education and professional journeys.
