The purpose of Project Inspire shall be to: 1) provide a community for those affected directly by psychosis and those with family members affected, 2) connect members who are affected by psychosis with resources on campus (the CAE, caseworking office, aftercare program, CAPPS, AAP, disability union, etc), 3) reduce stigma surrounding psychosis through educational outreach; this will include going to public schools in LA and teaching about what psychosis is, 4) connect with the greater Los Angeles community at large, by offering a mentorship programs for undergraduate and graduate students from exemplary role models in the Los Angeles community, and 5) help those affected in growing proud of their disability, helping them overcome any feelings of shame and guilt.
