Bruin Transportation Alliance

BTA is a space that aims to educate and empower UCLA students to effectively advocate for transportation equity and justice related issues in their communities. We are dedicated to transportation due to its intersectional nature in relation to public health and accessibility to economic, educational, and basic need opportunities. The main social focus of BTA concerns advocating for improved transportation service and infrastructure across Los Angeles County, with the acknowledgement that transit-underserved communities in this region are often historically and systematically marginalized, as well as geographically isolated. We aim to encourage a culture of rethinking the frameworks of our current transportation systems and infrastructure through increasing transportation literacy in the UCLA community, which ultimately can create cultural change in our community.
