MedDebt Health Initiative

MedDebt Health Initiative aims to improve health equity and financial well-being in the community; raise awareness about medical debt issues affecting underserved populations in Los Angeles County; encourage student involvement in community service to reduce medical debt; partner with local organizations, such as homeless shelters and food pantries, to host monthly workshops; educate individuals on financial assistance and charity care applications at hospitals; assist eligible individuals in completing applications and provide follow-up support to ensure successful outcomes.
