Fish Society at UCLA

We are a community of avid fishing enthusiasts dedicated to fishing and all things fishing, including both saltwater and freshwater fishing. Our club is dedicated to promoting responsible and ethical fishing practices, while also providing educational content to help our members improve and hone their skills. Join us as we will go over the fundamentals of fishing, including various rods, reels, baits, lures, and rigs that can be used to catch the most fish. We also emphasize proper catch-and-release techniques and sustainable fishing practices to protect our precious aquatic resources. You will also get the opportunity to explore beautiful parts of Southern California and interact with nature while attending our outings. We visit spots ranging from piers extending into the Malibu kelp forests to the rocky areas of Palos Verdes. There will be plentiful opportunities to witness wildlife at its finest.
