Community Garden: Returning To Our Roots
Wed 11/19 • 5PM - 7PM PST
580 Cafe
Join us for a transformative 4-session series rooted in mindfulness, ancestral teachings, and land-based knowledge. Hosted by Bruin Underground Scholars, Green Arrow Co-Lab, and 580 Café, each session will take the form of a talking circle paired with hands-on experiences designed to deepen our connection to the land and to one another.
Guided by Indigenous perspectives, each circle will explore one of the Four Directions North, South, East, and West through storytelling, cultural sharing, and reflections on our relationships with the Earth.
Gardening Experience: Each session will include a hands-on gardening component, where participants can engage directly with the land through planting, tending, and harvesting activities. This immersive practice provides an opportunity to cultivate both plants and a deeper connection to the natural world.
Enjoy food history demonstrations curated by The People’s Café, highlighting ancestral foodways and community nourishment.
