The UCLA Volunteer Center’s inaugural event, UCLA Volunteer Day, has become a cornerstone of the UCLA experience. It is the university’s largest community service events and occurs during True Bruin Welcome. New freshmen and transfer students join together with continuing undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and community members to participate in a wide range of community service projects across Los Angeles and the globe. Volunteers participate at various community partner sites providing critical service work, beautification, and support at food banks, parks, shelters, senior centers, schools, veterans’ facilities, and various other community organizations

The UCLA Career Center has partnered with JCPenney to bring the UCLA community up to 45% off select careerwear, shoes and accessories. Event will be held at the JCPenney at the Fox Hills mall. All UCLA undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, staff, faculty and alumni are welcome. Please feel free to invite your friends, family, and community to join in. Ways to get to JCPenney! - Drive or Carpool and self park. The mall parking is completely free. - Culver City Green Bus - Line 6. $1 to ride. Get off on Culver City Transit Center. - Use our shuttle provided by ResLife! This is a FREE round-trip transportation from campus. Buses will leave from Luskin Turnaround every 30 minutes. The first bus will leave campus by 4:30pm to arrive by 5pm at JCPenney. The last bus will leave campus by 7:00pm. The JCPenney store is located at 6000 S Hannum Ave, Culver City, CA 90230. Please enter directly from the outside entrance rather than from inside of the mall, you will need to use he dedicated exterior ground-level entrance facing the eastern edge of the mall property (near the charging stations). Our check in stations will be by the outside doors, all other entrances may be closed since this will be a UCLA only event. REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND BUT HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. You will have the opportunity to check in at the event.
