Learn how to use WAVE for page-by-page testing. Learn how to use Siteimprove for whole-site accessibility scanning and monitoring. Applying for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship

Join a Garden Guide for a free tour on October 4, 2025 at 10 am. Explore our living museum featuring collections of plants from around the globe! You’ll hear the stories of selected plants in the Garden and their relevance to human society. All ages are welcome. Tours meet at the La Kretz Garden Pavilion at the northern end of the Garden and are given a grace period of 5 minutes.

Award-winning theater company Box Tale Soup returns to the Clark Library with a re-mounting of their original adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray, complete with a reimagined set and new puppets. This production of Oscar Wilde’s haunting story of evil, debauchery, and scandal features exquisite puppetry and a powerful original soundtrack. Dorian Gray, young and exceptionally beautiful, sinks deep into a frivolous lifestyle of glamorous luxury and selfish abandon, seemingly unchanged by corruption and untouched by age. But behind a thick, locked door, beneath a dark, heavy curtain, Dorian’s portrait tells a different story….

Will Rawls: Unmade

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, the Fowler Museum presents its first annual celebration spotlighting the vibrant Native cultures of Southern California. This inaugural event brings together Indigenous artists, knowledge holders, and community leaders for a day of art-making, food, music, poetry, storytelling, and performance. Rooted in the themes of the Getty PST Art exhibition Fire Kinship, the program centers Indigenous perspectives on land, kinship, and traditional ecological knowledge. Program Schedule 12:30–1:00 PM: Welcome 1:00–4:30 PM: Cyanotype art-making stations with Metzil Projects; available for drop-in 1:30–2:00 PM: Exhibition walk-through of Fire Kinship 1:30–3:30 PM: Enjoy a live cooking demonstration and sample a tasting menu prepared by Marlene Aguilar of Irekuarhika. Take home a recipe card to try the dish yourself!
